Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The bible says in Heb 4:16 that we should come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace in time of need. God is always available to hear us and listen to us when we seek him in prayer.
God already knows your struggles and your insecurities. Rather than holding back and being ashamed to approach him, come boldly to his presence and ask for his help. God sees you as his dear child and delights in you. He sees you as worthy and deserving of His favor.
When you pray, I encourage you to look up what the bible says on the issue you want to pray about so you can pray according to God’s word. James 5:16b
In prayer, thank God for what He has done and what He is doing in your life. Just because you do not yet see a desired result does not mean God is not working to bring it to pass in your life. We can have confidence in prayer that when we seek God, He hears us and He is working! Isa 65:24
When you pray, the condition of your heart is more important than the position of your body. Let your heart be focused, humble and open to receive from God. If you want to kneel down, you can go ahead. I usually prefer to close my eyes to prevent distractions.
Prayer is a two way communication between you and God. As you pray to God, ensure that you listen to hear him.
