Who do you say you are?

Gal 3:26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Your identity is simply what you define yourself by. What gives you meaning and worth. Often times we tend to define ourselves by what we do e.g. our career, or what we have e.g. money, or who we have in our lives e.g. Family

The issue with this is that, what we have can change and maybe be lost as we live in this imperfect world. Moreover, people and things and accomplishments can never give us a sense of true worth and value.

From scriptures, we know that Jesus was a very confident and stable person. I believe that the reason is because He was absolutely convinced about who He was and his identity was found in an unshakable relationship. If you look at John 15 and scriptures in the new testament, Jesus continually refered to God as His father and the love they shared.

God has called us His children and His love for us is unconditional and unchanging. When our identity is based on this unshaking truth, we would have a confidence and faith that would stand through situations in our lives.
